    Almost 15,000 years ago, the Hagerman Valley was formed by the Bonneville Flood, was settled by Native Americans and then saw emigrants pass through on the Oregon Trail in the 1840's. Gooding Country presently contains significant farming operations. The discovery of gold in 1862 brought non-native settlements to the area and the railroad soon followed in the 1880's. Flour gold has been found on the property along with Native American artifacts.


    The Hagerman Valley is full of recreation amenities and spectacular sight seeing opportunities, just a few minutes off interstate 84. It is also a place with a business friendly atmosphere where people can work hard during the day, then play just as hard fishing, hunting, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, and trail riding in their time off in the areas numerous State Parks. Sightsee and enjoy the beauty of the natural pure water springs that flow from the tops of the basalt cliffs into the Snake River including Blue Heart Springs and Box Canyon.     The Snake River in Southern Idaho is a stopover and breeding area for tens of thousands of ducks, geese and waterfowl. Waterfowl migrate through and concentrate in the Hagerman Valley's reservoirs, lakes and ponds each fall and winter. The Hagerman Valley is a destination for waterfowl hunters following wintering mallards looking for open water. The river has hundreds of miles publicly accessible waters and numerous access points. The Hagerman Wildlife Management Area was the first WMA designated in Idaho in the 1940's. 


    If fishing from your own private river access isn't enough for you, enjoy exploring all the area reservoirs including Anderson Ranch, C.J. Strike, Magic, Roseworth, Salmon Falls to name just a few.

    Enjoy the beauty of the natural geology formation the area has to offer at Balance Rock State Park, Bruneau Canyon and the Malad Gorge. 


    Soak in the healing waters of Miracle Hot Springs, Banbury Hot Springs and other natural hot springs in the Valley after a long day of play.   The thermal hot springs provided a source of healing mineral water and warmth for the Native Americans who inhabited this area thousand of years ago.

    Winter sports are also easily accessible with Soldier Mountain one hour away and 90 minutes to world famous Sun Valley or Magic Mountain. 


    Southern Idaho has some nice golf courses-- all only a short distance from your new home. Blue Lakes and Canyon Springs in Twin Falls, with Clear Lake Country Club in Buhl. 


    Put in or Take out at your private river access for a relaxing float on the Snake River.
